| iGeoPos Determine Precise Position in RemoteView
Sensor Systems has teamed with Integrity Geospatial Solutions to provide this new capability that offers the benefits of weapon-quality geo-coordinates and error estimates within the already familiar RemoteView environment. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has certified the RemoteView iGeoPos Precision Positioning module for use in targeting applications.
The iGeoPos module represents a significant improvement in ease of use, timeliness and cost over existing methods of extracting precision position information from satellite images.
With the iGeoPos module the user can perform the entire positioning exercise without leaving RemoteView, including geospatial coordinate and accuracy specification, source selection management, image point selection, product generation, and dissemination. Sensor Systems has seamlessly integrated the iGeoPos™ module into RemoteView, providing the user with workflow tools within the familiar, user-friendly RemoteView interface.
The RemoteView iGeoPos module offers the advantage of not needing expensive stereo hardware such as high-performance graphics cards or expensive stereo viewing goggles. It also means more current imagery can be used to extract the precision coordinates. This results in wider coverage as well as coverage that may be only days or even hours old.
The iGeoPos module also provides a streamlined interface within RemoteView for finding and selecting images to use for extracting precision position information. iGeoPos leverages the power and economy of the RemoteView Catalog tool in this source selection process. Based on Microsoft SQL which comes free with the Windows operating system, RemoteView Catalog takes advantage of source metadata to find and present candidate source files using an intuitive interface.
After the precision coordinates have been determined, iGeoPos provides a simple, one-click operation for generating a final product and presenting the coordinates in a community-approved format. iGeoPos can also incorporate the final product in a pre-defined RemoteView template that allows component-specific information and symbols to be included as well. |
